The presentation illustrates the room acoustic challenges and solutions in the new construction of the central building "Electronic Music, Electroacoustics and Composition" of the worldwide highly respected University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria, which was planned as a groundbreaking, very flexible innovation building. In addition to numerous teaching studios, music rehearsal rooms and a cinema-like room for film sound mixing, the building contains, among other things, three large control rooms (1x "analog", 1x "digital" and 1x "digital+surround") and two spacious recording rooms. The room acoustical solutions are based on three pillars:a. Optimized Room Geometry for reflection control and low frequency modal behaviorb. Static Room Acoustics for default usec. Variable Acoustics for optimization and production flexibility
